I’m Ario.
After years of working across the full data lifecycle—from designing how data is captured by scanners, to transactional databases, data platforms, analytical foundations, and ultimately the metrics used to run a business—my focus has increasingly shifted toward a different question:
How do we design systems that turn data into value directly?
By “directly,” I mean reducing the dependency on people. Instead, I’m interested in architectures where context, data, AI, and operational systems are connected so that insights can systematically lead to decisions and actions.
This is the architecture I want to explore.
Through OpsCTX, I write about the companies building these systems, the architectural challenges behind them, and the technologies that make them possible—from data contracts, APIs, event-driven and streaming architectures to semantic layers, AI agents, and operational data products.
The underlying question is simple:
How can we architect data systems that don’t just inform the business, but become part of how the business operates?
